LFCC Workforce Solutions Announcements, Promotions and Publications – Gromling joins LFCC Workforce Team
Sharen Gromling has joined the LFCC Workforce Team as a trainer and an interim outreach coordinator. She recently retired from Public Administration following nearly three decades of service to the City of Winchester municipal government. In her HR role with the city, Sharen was responsible for 500 employees and oversaw the City's public information, safety and employee development and training functions. She obtained her bachelors and masters degrees in Psychology from the University of Richmond where she graduated with honors.
Sharen continues to serve as a lecturer and trainer in organizational development. She conducts numerous workshops and retreats on such topics as Valuing Diversity, Ethics, Strategic Planning, Customer Service and Leadership Skills Assessment to name a few. Her training passion is working with teams to help them build a foundation of trust, achieve commitment to the team's purpose and goals, and hold members accountable, all leading to the achievement of collective results. Additionally, Sharen continues to be active with the International City Managers Association (ICMA).
Sharen will be also be filling in temporarily as our outreach coordinator during Larry Baker's tenure as the college's Interim Vice President for Finance. She will be contacting area businesses as the new year begins to see how LFCC's Workforce Solutions team can help them achieve their business goals.
